Clam Pass County Park
The park consists of 35 acres of mangrove forest, dunes and 3200 linear feet of beach on the Gulf of Mexico. There is a boardwalk that provides access to the beach through a mangrove forest. The boardwalk leading to the beach is three quarters of a mile in length. It can be walked in fifteen to twenty minutes or a tram can take you there in about six minutes. There are food and beach concessions, foot showers & restrooms available. Through the mangrove forest are three types of mangroves: red, black, and white. Included in the park is also a Tidal Bay area. This area is rich in wildlife. Eagles, hawks, osprey, raccoons, and many types of fish can be seen frequently.
