I bought a used GS style steering wheel on Ebay. (It looked black on the ebay auction :) I will do some painting/ dying to make it match better.
I sent the clock out and got it fixed. It's cool!
I painted the mounting hub black and wrapped the wheel to hide the blue. I also finally got it centered after 4 tries!
The old door handles where pitted and nasty looking, I picked up 2 nice used replacements on ebay
Another ebay find. The old shifter was pitted and nasty. I had to cut a small piece off the end to make this one fit but it looks good.
The old dash had a melted cigarette lighter as well as several cracks, so I picked up a used one in better conditon, unfortunately that means I have to pull the old one, what a mess!
Passenger side of the dash, to remove the instrument panel you have to remove the glovebox, radio and dash pad first.
The new instrument cluster sitting in the back seat. I am going to replace all of the lights in the cluster since I have it apart already.
Another angle of the carnage, reassembly wil not be fun.....
The new instrument panel in place. The hole is where the clock was. I am going to be sending it out to get repaired.
Another look at the new intrument panel. (Thanks Dennis)
It looks much better put back together. :)
The next mini-project. The battery tray is terrubly rusty. I want to remove it, clean up any surrounding rust and then put a new tray in. The problem right now is the bolts are so rusty and corroded I can't budge them. A new plan of attack must be found.
